After I read your brief poem and Hitoshi's hilarious poem... well, that night I dreamt that my older sister insisted that she and I steal some nun outfits so that we could wear them to go exercise at some special gym. She proposed this while we were standing in a parking garage while there was all sorts of other stuff going on. Maybe I shouldn't read your blog before I go to bed. Who knew?

Wild applause to Hitoshi!
I love the new version of the song!
Vocals are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I don't want you to be a nun, because I went to a fabric store and saw all the baby quilts I want to make. Nuns and babies don't quite go together - except for the ones all in plaid! Hilarious!

If I were a nun, I’d be so happy. And sad.
I'd get me to a nunnery. Wave good-bye to mom and dad.
I'd leave behind society. And all its worldy fads.
Forget about Us Weekly, Angelina, and Brad.
I'm sure I'd miss the boys at first. But really, they were cads.
I'd put me on a habit. It wouldn't be so bad.
But any vow of silence would surely drive me mad.
So I'd run and sing around the hills. And that would make me glad.
I'd teach the Catholic schoolgirls. In their jumpers all in plaid.
Help them learn to read and write. And maybe even add.
Hang out with my sisters. In our bachelorette pad.
Make new friends. But not forget the good times that I've had.
Maybe I'd be wistful for my old life. Just a tad.
All strictly hypothetical, of course. Cause I'm a dude.

This reminds me of a highschool dream my best friend and I once shared - to start a Grill and Monkery (I can't remember if we didn't know the word monastery, or were just being silly.). Tasty food, draft beer from wooden kegs, comfortable robes with some chanting and prayer - it just sounded so perfect. Then, four years later in Austria, we discovered monks in Europe had already thought of the idea!
