Let’s start a new hat society so that when we enter the AARP stage of life… we’ll have made it cool to wear pink cowboy hats with blue leather riding boots. Or whatever we decide is becoming to our gray hair.

Yes you will join the Red Hat Society. Because your best friend will take any excuse possible to wear a fun hat, and your best friend is totally the type that would join a random silly club, and I will convince you to join with me.

And then you’ll be elected president. Because that’s what happens to Annie Parsons.

Or at least, you’ll be made Foremost Champion Red Hat Blogger. :)

OMG.

I had to google “Red Hat Society” since I’ve never heard of it, and the first line that came up said, “Organization of women who meet for tea wearing red hats and purple dresses.” Is that really all it is?! Really!? Is it a southern thing?

They used to have their monthly meeting at my University’s cafeteria. When they were done with lunch they would sing for us all. I’m sure you can imagine how well that went over with a cafeteria full of twenty year olds!
