Until your brother started twittering “FTW” like it was literally going out of style and I asked Ash, “doesn’t Jeremy worry about who he says “FTW” to?… I was under the impression that it stood for f*ck the world. This stemming from a 12th grade encounter with a deli employee who used it so.

OK – so I’m reading this at 930p PDT, so I didn’t have a prayer on the EP. BUT – I’ll buy one. AND — here’s another interp of FTW (which I’ve never thought much about except that it was positive). When you brought it into your post – I thought – well, could be opposite of WTF — yes THAT angry term! I like For The Win better.
Cool that SW Air is so good in so many ways…as airlines go anyway.

I guess I’m not the only one, but what is FTW??? I googled it and the first thing that came up…”for the win.” Is that right?!? They kind of sound alike, which I can see the humor in, “for the wind.” Kind of like “breaking wind.” Ha!

Only after reading the comments have I now figured out what FTW means – thanks, hootenannie. I actually thought it was something much… um, angrier.

And I spent 5 minutes glancing between “furthest” and “farthest” and now they both just look really funny. You know what’s fun? Looking up the definition of “set.”
