I just randomly came across this post through a tag on a new post... don't call me a blog stalker. really.

but can I highlight the use of "chapped my ass"? I can't even think the words without laughing.

Annie - oh you material girl! A 6' x 7' x 8' pod? I remember you leaving Seattle with everything stuffed in your car!

What Child - I prefer the minor version. I'm convinced that vocalists singing the "correct" Dorian mode have to raise their eyebrows to get that extra interval in there. :-)

Matty and Paul rock! and you of course. can't speak for the gentleman on your right in that photo, having never met him... =)

and for the record, if you're playing it 'folky', A is much easier to sing along with. but B sounds more 'proper' (said in a british accent with a stiff upper lip)

drive safe.

Yes, as your father, please avoid the ditch. Annie, wherever you go, whatever you do, you inspire in all of us this unavoidable loyalty, even and especially when you move away. Remember this: it is the legacy of honoring from the people we have lived with which weighs most heavily for the ages to come. You are real. And substantial.

I'm new to your blog, but I wanted to let you know-if you get stuck in a ditch in the middle of Kansas-just blog about it and I'll come help pull you out! Like quite literally the middle of Kansas, the Salina area-ish, if that's how you go. Be careful!

a. You have a gorgeous voice - I don't care what version of "What child is this?" you decide on.
b. Facebook is weird - the red-eye in the second version is actually worse. It's like Facebook puts your photos through a "bad photo" filter - the anti-PhotoShop.
c. Beautiful song =).
d. Safe travels!

Oh my gosh. You're MOVING away from Nashville. I think it just actually hit me. I feel like crying.

Wow, Annie Parsons. We have many conversations in store about this over cheese and wine.

Miss you. Can't wait to see you. God speed, best friend.
