In which I display a severe lack of cohesion (sorry)

Written by hootenannie on March 1st, 2012

Some exciting news at work: new co-workers, new snacks.

Why is this cracking me up so much?

I’m flying to Kansas City tomorrow to 1) help my mom move into her new house, and 2) see him, him, and him.

I wish this was the appropriate place to talk about dating.  I might have to start a secret blog.

So many of my favorite clothes are wearing out – the staples.  The jeans.  The black pants.  The basic shirts.  I’m Raggedy Annie these days, threadbare and frayed.

I’ve decided to not be vegan (surprise, surprise).  It was a good experiment for a bit, but I think that the biggest take-away is just to eat more real food – which means cooking more – which is actually going to be great.

Tom Petty is coming to Denver?  WHO IS COMING WITH ME????!?

If this is true, let the record state that I predicted this long ago.  So cliché.

I love that Linkage is a tag. I wonder what someone who google’s “Linkage” would be looking for. My hope is that they’d be an engineer doing business-related research. They’ll crack up when they land in this.

The Tim Tebow news made me throw up in my mouth :( LOVE Tim; cannot even remotely tolerate Taylor Swift. I hope, hope, hope the rumor is WRONG! He’s made so many GOOD choice in life, why start making mistakes now?! :)

I love the Food Should Taste Good products! The jalapeño chips are my fave. And they’re based just outside Boston!

Huh – I didn’t realize Larabar was a General Mills company (in a roundabout way…)! If you EVER have to come to the Twin Cities for your job (or otherwise), I hope you will look me up!

    K?

real food is a good choice – I also like the Mark Bittman mantra “vegetarian/vegan before 6p” – that brings down meat-eating a great deal and is ultimately good for you.

I too experimented with vegan/vegetarianism recently and concluded also that what I needed more of was Real Food, and probably less meat and dairy. I highly recommend this book if you haven’t already read it: http://michaelpollan.com/books/in-defense-of-food/.

    erin's loving the potato road

If i were online dating, i’d check that i eat “meat and potatoes” but hold the potatoes (i know right, and i LIVE in idaho!). Real food is real legit; i have converted to the great northwest way of life and eat only grassfed beef from local farmers and free range chicken and eggs. That among other nutrition changes – but this is neither the time nor the place for my food criticisms. Good luck to you, and remember what they say about moderation…even moderation!

Halberts are all about Tebow/Swift. I imagine that he’s listening to Safe and Sound on his headphones when he’s working on his throwing motion.

    I LOVE YOU TIM TEBOW.
