Unknown audience

blog

Everything is bigger in Texas. Including my blog audience.

I recently installed a blog tracker simply out of raging curiosity about who reads this blog. While it doesn’t tell me WHO is reading (go ahead and breathe that big ol’ sigh of relief), it does show me where the readers are coming from. And not to brag or anything, but I am HUGE in Plano, TX.

Plano far-and-away surpasses every other city on the blog-role. It’s like Beatlemania. Who ARE you people? Or are you just one person, over… and over… and over… and over? If that’s the case… get a life. Said – in the gentlest of tones, of course – the girl who has been unemployed for 4 months.

And counting.

Anyway, I also have readers all over the world (what’s up, Serbia!). Slowly but surely, I am gaining readers beyond my circle of family members and ex-boyfriends. My blog has even led to real live meetings with a few of you. Weird? I think not. I am not ashamed to exploit the internet for every new friend I can get.

However, I DO know this guy in real life. And my excitement that he now has a blog? Words fail me.

ummm… I’d really like to know about this “TRACKER.”

This could definitely help me feel more popular.

Wow. I mean…WOW. Such an honor to see myself linked! This whole blogging thing totally feeds the ENFP need for affirmation in me. Still, I haven’t been brave enough to track my readership yet because I’m pretty sure I’m still in the single digits…and I am VERY confident that none are from Serbia. Yet.

Thanks for the shout out. And the inspiration. And for the blog where you referenced me as an integral part of your “heaven” because it provided one more result on the screen when I google my name. Which I do weekly.

Oh man, this blog tracker thing scares me. Do you really need to know that I stalk your blog to know how much I love and miss you? Hey, if it helps get the message across, I guess …

I’m gonna go ahead and admit that I might end up being a blog stalker. After reading the post from back in June a few minutes ago I decided to checkout your latest entries. Welcome to TN and best of luck in the Music City!

And I think I’m officially a fan of “While my heart is young”.

Stat counters are counter productive to blogging, They change the dynamic of why you write and wondering who reads it.

I have a confession: I’m a complete stranger AND live in Texas. I wouldn’t necessarily say “complete” stranger. I’m very good friends with Graham’s sister, Emily, who is my confidante here in Big-D. She told us the story about how her brother was going to “meet a girl,” and linked me to your page. I don’t live in Plano, but i read frequently. And, I.LOVE.IT. Plain and simple – you’ve got flare, girl; and you inspire. You’ve given me hope that dreams can come true…don’t stop chasin!
