Broken record

blog

I am only on the second episode of season 6 of “24,” and I have already heard Jack Bauer say some version of the following lines:

“Mr. President, don’t do this.”
“It’s too late!”
“I know about al-Fayed.”
“I’m sorry, but that information is classified.”
“I’m going after the bomber.”
“With all due respect, Mr. President, you are wrong.”
“I’m trying to save your life!”
“One of your men is a traitor.”
“I was afraid I would die for nothing – at least now, I’m dying for something.”

And of course, the phone is constantly ringing at CTU:
“Boop boop – BEE doo”

There have been guns and torture devices and love connections and explosions and maddeningly naïve civilians and doors kicked down and hot, young, recent college graduates fighting terrorism. It’s all so familiar.

However, an extremist has also been killed by a swift human bite to the jugular. So I guess that’s new.

Yes! We just started watching 24, i.e. we’re only in the beginning of the second season (so archaic, I know) but I appreciate that you dedicated a blog to it:)

I (or should I say SCOTT and I) will still watch this new season even though Jack has, in fact, killed someone previously by bitting his jugular. Shoot–I guess there’s nothing new! ;-)

I actually couldn’t get past disc 1 because it was all too familiar…
It’s just not keeping my attention anymore.

yea – I have never been able to get into this show. Though, I hear… you’re either be a LOST fan or a 24 fan… but you won’t like both.

Except Duane… he likes both. But he’s always the exception to the rule.

When I was a child and we were still living in New Orleans my parents took my sister, brother and me to the Barnum Bailey Circus and we were all quite thrilled by the Jugular as he Jugulared three bowling pins AND a bowling ball.

ooooh yes – season 6 IS a doozy. dont give up on it yet…

    Random Jack Bauer fact:
If everyone on “24” followed Jack Bauer’s instructions, it could probably be called “3”.
