Sisters

blog

My little sister Sarah came to visit this weekend. Isn’t she beautiful?

She is all good things: sunshine and light and compassion and loyalty. Where I am sardonic and blunt, she is genuine and measured. Where I am an eye roll, she is a kind word. Where I am a sneer, she is a laugh. She is going to be an incredible nurse soon, and will not be held back. Africa is on her horizon.

But I’ll keep her as long as I can.

Arbor Mist – adds sugar. You want bittersweet? Try Boone’s Farm Strawberry Wine. Definitely green on the vine. I love Deanna Carter by the way. It’s like .99 a bottle.

And you should not be bored – you have ice breaker questions to answer.

ps… I hate when you delete a post because there were all kinds of errors and then it still shows up that you posted and deleted. No way to be sneaky.

That video had me rolling, Annie…and wishing I had a sister. You’re hilarious together! Sarah IS lovely.

Hang in there with that boring desk job…perhaps inspiration for a great country song?

I remember learning the name of the sneer muscle (not going to try and spell it) in 8th grade too! Can’t say Colorado West Christian School didn’t teach us something. I bust that random bit of trivia out all the time. Sneeeery!

My tuesday is definitely going as slow as yours.. maybe more… cause you get to make videos… i do not.
And for the record, can you spell the name of that sneer muscle cause, what on earth??

the song must have been speaking figuratively (about love), not literally (about wine). or something.

no wonder i didn’t come out there – i can’t make the right faces!

Annie…my Tuesday is SLOW, too. It doesn’t need to be, there’s lots for me to do…but I am just counting down the minutes until Jon picks me up. 13.

Have you ever considered that your boss may find your blog? Not that you aren’t doing what they ask or anything or that they would fire you but I think that would be hilarious. So, THIS is what the Secretary does all day.

Just the thought of my sister moving to another country would make me puke. Your girl Annie posted about fear-induced vomiting today and let me tell ya, my sister moving to Africa for ANY reason would certainly be ample cause for some fear-induced vomiting for me.

I love your write-up of your personalities. Sounds like you were describing the differences between Eliza and Jane Bennett.

I love sisters. :) And this post was so funny.

The differences between you two are real and dramatic. I am blown away by the contrasts, coming out of the same home, same parents, same home town. And I glory in what is good and right and wonderful in each of you. What a testimony to the Trinity, from Whom all diversity arises, and in Whom all variation finds unity. I love both of you so much

That was an awesome high five after the faces. Some spunk on it.

I once drank an entire bottle of Arbor Mist, and felt just as sober as when I started (long story, don’t ask). Arbor Mist is Strawberry Wine flavored water.

I think you and Sarah totally make the same faces, but you look different doing it. I just noticed that your dog sneers on the opposite side of the face from yours.
