The Temptress Chronicles: V

blog

Co-worker: Have you reached 1,000 yet?

Me: YES! A couple of days ago!

Co-worker: Only 2,500 to go.

Me: What…? Oh. I thought you were talking about Facebook friends.

He was not. He was talking about stuffing envelopes.

– – – – – – – –

I helped decorate the lobby for Christmas yesterday, which included the blasting of holiday music and the imbibing of some very strong Cape Cods – not that you hear me complaining. The afternoon flew by – I was an envelope-labeling MANIAC.

Also, don’t worry. With the addition of Christmas decorations, I am no longer alone all day.

Is that a bear? THE greatest threat facing society today, and you’re embracing it?

(hope you watch The Colbert Report, or I look like a crazy loon.)

the day before thanksgiving at starbucks, this lady asked ‘are you guys gonna stay open?’ and i said ‘yes, we are open until 6 tomorrow!’ she smiled and walked over to the bar to wait for her drink.

and then a few minutes later, i heard her asking the same question to whoever was on bar. she meant are we staying open, like, for good as a store.

khool. almost as khool as you.

Not just a bear, but a bear with a lamp. Not half bad; if you start talking to him, I might get a little worried :)

The look on your face just sums it all up.
Don’t worry about your new collegue will grow on you. You just have to get to know him… or her… or it.

My folks just put up a stuffed frog at their place that croaks the melody of “Jingle Bells” with a monotone “Ribbit” noise. My Nephews love it, but I swear, one of these days, I’m gonna shoot it and nail it’s remains to the door.

For a split second, I thougt the bear was a live lamb. Then I actually looked at the picture after I read the blog and it made much more sense.

Bec: I would have thought she meant the same thing. I hope that your store does stay open for good. Not only for your sake, but for the sake of your patrons. The Starbucks upstairs from my work closed and now I have to walk CLEAR ACROSS THE PARKING LOT to go get my coffee at the Starbucks in Safeway. It’s just not the same. Of course, my wallet thanks me since I get coffee less often now.

Giving up slowly: It’s not Annie talking to the bear that should scare you. If the bear talks back, you should be frightened.

my ears purked up at “Cape Cod.”

You are the only girl i know where work responsibilities such as stuffing envelopes not only happens simultaneously with imbibing strong fruity adult-type beverages, but it is encouraged. Kudos, AP. Jealousy becomes me.

and the word verification is perme. I’d rather you not.thankyou.
