Two years

blog

I left Seattle two years ago today.

Last year, I wrote a big dramatic soliloquy about my feelings.

This year, I honestly don’t know what to say.

I feel flummoxed.

But wherever you go, there you are.

Whatever that means.

Worry not, I just spoke with Seattle and it said that it is not going anywhere, despite rumors that it wanted to relocate to Houston. I’m assuming this rumor was in part responsible for your flummoxation.

Seattle is distinctly less awesome without you.

That said, I think you have found where you you belong; at least for the present.

We miss you. Come soon to visit.

Your “leaving” and “one year after” blog posts have nearly made me teary today… Seemingly striking a chord, I suppose.

There is a song by Ginny Owens called “This Road.” Knowing how much you love music, I think you’d like this song. Probably not how you’re feeling now, but two years ago, most possibly.

Transitions are rough, no? I arrived in Oxford just over two years ago, and left a year and four months ago. Sometimes I still don’t know how I feel about allllll that.
