Little thoughts

blog

I’m sorry that I don’t write about health care or anything important at all.

I have an announcement to make:

I MADE A FRIEND!  I know, high-five.

His name is Chris – some of you out in blog land even know him – and he is a darling.  He came over for DiGiorno Pizza last night, and then I sent him home with cookies.

Also, there’s this:

First Day from Annie Parsons on Vimeo.

That’s my mom and her neighbor boys on the first day of school in 1961.  So cute, huh?  I hope my kids have red hair.

– – – – – – – –

At the gym last night, I saw a very skinny girl walking through the weight machines toward the locker room with a gigantic pair of hedge shears.  Just needed to tell someone.

My current favorite word is “bunk.”  You know, as in, “That’s a load of bunk!”  Also: bunk-beds. Also: bunko.

On Monday night, I will be seeing Patty Griffin play at the Paramount Theater here in Denver.  And if you never hear from me again, it’s because she played “Goodbye” and I melted into a puddle and was soaked up by the sidewalk.

I cannot believe that Miley Cyrus was the “mentor” on American Idol this week.

– – – – – – – –

I cannot believe that Miley Cyrus is famous, period.

Do you have any idea how much I want a milkshake?

Annie Parsons, I just think you should know that you are probably one of the most interesting and darling people I know. Thanks for sharing little bits of your life with the world. We are all better for it!

That girl with the hedge shears is up to something, I can feel it. Maybe to tear Miley’s ridiculous clothing to shreds? Lovely post!

It’s Ok that you don’t write about HealthCare. Because those of us who get consumed by stupid things like Healthcare need someplace to go to remind us that it really will be OK. You are one of those places. :)

What would be the antonym of “bunk”?

Maybe the chick with the shears was part of a new fear-based workout program.

Scare the bajeebers out of someone and get the fight/flight responce going so they go faster and harder. People tend to run faster when a nut with a weapon is chasing them.

Anytime that I type your web address into my computer to check your blog, I accidentally hit two ‘t’s’ instead of two ‘o’s’ therefore typing “hott.”

My computer, and my typing fingers, and I, and the world as a whole – thinks your h-o-t-t, HOTT. (Which is hotter than ‘hot’ with one ‘t’ obviously.)

I just thought you should know that.

Do you have any idea how much I enjoy reading your random thoughts and how I would very much so NOT enjoy reading (yet another) person’s views on healthcare?

This post cracks me up. Now that I’ve told you that…a couple things…for starters, shears?!?! What? That’s not good. Second- you’re going to see Patty Griffin? I am jealous. Really jealous. Drive to Denver to see her jealous :) Have a blast! And last but definitely not least, I randomly get crazy urges for Maggie Moo’s chocolate shakes. I’ve been sick this week and all I have wanted is a maggie moos shake. Hopefully you get one soon!

I know how much you want a milkshake: less than I want a milkshake. :) Glad to see you ALL OVER the blog world. I usually read about you on Katie’s or Val’s or Dani’s blogs before I actually read yours. They make me feel like I have to meet you. Like when I get back to the states I need to go to mount rushmore, see the empire state building, and meet Annie. Ay kez….
