Crave

money

I know, I know.  Things won’t make me happy.  No matter what I get, things will leave me feeling empty – empty like a Kardashian brain.

But let’s just say that it’s Lent, and that for Lent, I gave up frugality.

Here’s what I would buy:

Charley Harper: An Illustrated Life.

This shirt in every color.

Cocktail shaker.

Fingerless gloves.

A tiny clock.  (What?)

A puppy.

A piano.

A Scout.

It’s a good thing I have sensible, prudent things to spend my money on, like cavities and car repairs.  This is saving me from the world of disappointment I would surely discover if I actually got a tiny clock.

I would like a hair cut and some anti-aging cream. The end.

OK, and also that shirt. In any color.

Fingerless gloves are a rip-off! Since I strive to be cool in life, I had gotten a pair. As I expected, my hands were still as cold as ever when worn. Solution: One hand in a pocket is almost as cool as fingerless gloves (unless the other one is giving a high-five)(then its just as cool).

Oh Eric. I will never be cool. :)

This is a completely functional “want”: fingerless gloves so I don’t scrape off my knuckles on mountains.

Not to mention the increase in car repairs and 4MPG if you had the Scout with a puppy chewing the interior to bits while peeing on all the various coloured shirts, forcing you to drink too many cocktails from that shaker and play melancholy songs of woe on your grand piano…good thing you were saved from all that

you NEED that fabulous anthro top. its not even a matter of ‘wanting’ it. okay, sure you may not need all 8 colors. but the green one? yes. yes you must have it. maybe just fill a couple cavities and not all of them?

I also covet that Charley Harper book. I settled for a postcard book of his bird illustrations (from Pangaea!) that I have every intention of framing and hanging up in my house…someday!

Oh! I’ve been craving that Anthropologie tee since March. In my mind it would be great for work or casual with jeans, sipping cocktails shaken in that great mixer or even out for a stroll with that super cute puppy you could adopt. :)

Just when I think I know all the ways we are soul-mates, then comes the Scout. I have ALWAYS badly wanted an old school LandCruiser (pretty much the Scout’s cousin) to run the world in. We basically could be car-mates running our mini-school of badassery teaching all those little brains how to wear red pumps and drive meaty cars.
