Welcome to No Blog November

blog

I’m going to take a little bloggy break for the month.

I’ll be back in December, and I hope you will be, too.  Just think: an entire month’s worth of stories, ready to explode onto your screen on December 1.

What can you expect to hear about from November?  Another REI class (not about rattlesnake sex), my nephew Micah’s 7th birthday, lots of running (I’m back up to 7.2 miles), a Parsonspalooza Thanksgiving, whipping my finances into shape, a cross-country winter road trip in the 20-year old Honda, some new songs, and surely, a plethora of things I have no way of predicting.

See you next month.  I’ll miss you.

Today when I checked your blog, the last one I had read was the one with the wedding photo. I don’t ever read the newest post first (unlike every book I read where I read the last line of the book and try to guess what leads up to that one line). When I realized there were like 4 blog posts since the last time I checked, I thought, “Oh dear… do I really have it in me to read 4 blog posts at nearly 4am. I decided that I did… and then I got to the last one and realized it’ll be the last one for a month. NOOOOOO. Wah wah. It’s kind of like the season finale of Mad Men, Breaking Bad, or Dexter. I have to wait HOW LONG til the next episode? Fortunately for your readers, you aren’t on hiatus for several months… just the one. I hope it’s a wonderful one month and that you have nothing but happy things happen between now and the next time you write. FYI, now that I work 6 days a week and don’t always get to read blogs… if I have to choose between your blog and Dooce, I’ll totally read yours.

11 more days…..I keep thinking there will be a guest blogger or a teaser or something.

    Until December…..

    I can’t wait for December.

And of course you made the short list! (You’re one of my inspirational blogfathers for goodness sake.)

    Thanks for reading too.

While putting dishes away after Thanksgiving, my thoughts fell upon the line of “Thank goodness November’s almost over and Annie will be back in the world of blogging again.” Read you soon!

Ah, only one more day of blog starvation. :) Can’t wait to have you back!

So I’m reading these people’s comments thinking “Seriously folks, get a life outside of reading Annie’s blog.” Yet here I am. Along with the masses. Missing your blogging days and looking so forward to tomorrow! :)

so, i’m not going to lie. when the alarm went off at 4:15am the last thing i wanted to do was leave my cozy bed. But then as i rolled over I remembered it was december. and that you were blogging again. and then i laughed that that was my first thought. awesome.

  23. Emily on December 1, 2010 at 9:40 AM

Annie, I really think that after waiting patiently for a whole month, 7:30 pacific time is a complexity reasonable hour to expect to find a “Welcome to lots of blogging December!” post. You do know that November is over, right? Hurry! My coffee is almost brewed and I REALLY want a little bite of hootenannie to go with it!
