Him: “Who was the lady who sewed the first American flag?”
Me: “Oh, you mean Betsey Johnson?”

That was a really pathetic moment.  And I can’t believe I’m coming clean on the internet.

    My first ever “report” was written in the 1st grade on good old Betsy Ross.

    I have a lot of moments like that. I have come to believe that half of the information we learn has no value except as trivia. The fact that you knew a woman existed who sewed it is what is valuable. The name seems as irrelevant as the name of the lead singer of 4 Non Blondes.
