This apartment brought to you by Craigslist, and my dad’s electric drill
Today was a day for things that needed doing. Sleeping. Drinking coffee. Cleaning. Laundry. And yes, the moment you have all been waiting for: making a video of my new little home.
I present to you: Chez Hootenannie.
New home in Nashville from Annie Parsons on Vimeo.
I love it! Don’t you love it? It’s so me! And so… feminine. Woe to the man who someday weds and thus, has to share a home with Annie Parsons. I’m never getting rid of my flowered chair – you can be sure it’ll be in my pre-nup.
And now, a few things that I could not highlight in the video, but would like to call your attention to…
1) This is the wicked tile on the bathroom floor.
2) This is my random, largely functionless collection of bright colored dishes.
3) This is my oh-so-organized, color-coded closet.
4) This is my bright, pleasantly arranged medicine cabinet.
And no, that is not zit cream on the top shelf. I’m 25 – of course I don’t still get zits. Of course I don’t. Of course I don’t.

One question and one comment. Where did you get the camera that took the video? I thought yours was dead. And, I think feminine means Laura Ashley pastel prints, quilts, and ruffles. Maybe the unsaid man can have in HIS prenup that the full door display of jewelry be hung out of sight….
The only thing I missed was the Don Immerwahr orignal on the bathroom wall.
looks great – love the new pillows!
MOM
love it girl. can’t wait for another nashville weekend where i can see the place put together first hand.
speaking of nashville weekends: we definitely are going back to our brunch place! we should probably make it a tradition with Joy Beth & Julie too…
Man, I was so impressed by how level those two curtain rods were, especially since the ceiling is, like, 1 inch higher on one end of the room than on the other. And the placement of those pictures in the kitchen was, well, perfect. And I’ll bet that TV gets 13 channels, right?
But the thing I loved the most was the light coming through the window! What a beautiful day in Nashville!
Love, Dad
I’M IN A PICTURE! IN A VIDEO! ON YOUR BLOG!
I’m famous.

This was awesome!
I want to do more videos, now that I think of it!
I loved to see the basket of washcloths. That made my heart glad.
I LOVE IT!!!! Oh my goodness, it’s so spacious and airy, and PRETTY!! Annie….. yaaaaaay! You have a HOME!
Congratulations, I really, really love it, you made it so pretty!!!
haha, zit cream!
…mind if i borrow some?
It’s so, so perfect. I deem it worthy of a visit. How ’bout April? :)
Annie – Love your new place! It’s very charming. I also love your print of “Christina’s World.” It’s my favorite painting of all time and I have a print of it hanging up in my place.
Take care.

That is awesome. Looks very homey. :)
Wow! you are organized. I don’t think I have a cabinet, drawer or closet that looks this neat in my entire house.
Yay! It looks great! YOur parents did a fantastic job with the hangings and such. You, of course, are the mastermind behind the style. I need to come over soon and have tea on your red couch. Can’t wait to catch up this week.
I forgot you had a Martin guitar. . . .sigh…..
Oh, and nice place too. Whoever gave you the end table by the red couch. . . they definitely must be good looking and probably really smart.
