It appears as though Jim Halpert may have a run for his money.
This was the world’s most humble and magnanimous win I have ever witnessed. I am blown away by this man. His modesty and grace make him so likable, I can hardly stand it.
David Cook has cemented himself into my heart, and single-handedly convinced it to beat again. If you need me, I’ll just be over here swooning.
PS: All of my big talk about hating men in vests? Retracted. Revoked. Reversed.

I had prepared myself–sure that archuleta would win. I was pretty pissed off, but had prepared myself for disappointment. OH what a glorious surprise!
Sure, DA has a great voice and whatever, but I will never be able to forget his rendition of “with you” by chris brown. it made me want to throw up. that’s two minutes of my life I will never get back; an image I am afraid I will never forget.
Oh my goodness I LOVE that man!! I might have thrown a bit of a fit and danced all around my house when he won.
And I completely agree with you about his humility. His brother is battling cancer and Cook refuses to talk about it to the media because he wanted to protect his brother and didn’t want sympathy votes. AMAZING.

I don’t watch American Idol, so I can’t join in the gushing. But if he’s actual competition for Jim Halpert then I am seriously intrigued … there’s no stepping to the JH, in my book.
Also, the scary part of this post is that DC is a real person whereas JH is only a figment of genius imagination.

Hmmm… I, too, enjoy Mr. Cook.
I’ve always wondered what the “AC” on his guitar meant. I could totally be delusional and presume it to be his a tribute to moi (Annie Cho), but methinks there’s someone/something/someplace else etched on his heart (and guitar).
Here I go – revealing myself as a true internet stalker…the AC on his guitar is speculated to be for “Adam Cook” – his older brother who is battling cancer.
I have loved David Cook from the very beginning. In addition to all of the other attributes mentioned, he’s also very attractive. I helped him win, as I had both my cell phones voting for him virtually every week! So glad you devoted one of your blogs to paying homage to the great DC!
