Brilliant. This is the gospel I have preached as an Intro to my Extro husband – he is definitely getting a reading assignment today ;D
I think the part I dislike most when it comes to Intro misperceptions shot at me is that I am “shy”. That is oh so aggravating. Being introverted isnt interchangeable with having no self-worth, lacking confidence, a hatred towards public speaking, and speaking in a whisper at all times while never making eye contact with people!
“Are introverts arrogant? Hardly. I suppose this common misconception has to do with our being more intelligent, more reflective, more independent, more level-headed, more refined, and more sensitive than extroverts.”
and apparently more humble too. ;-)

oh my GOSH. that was an amazing read. so accurate. i hate people asking me if i’m ok, or thinking i’m depressed if i want to spend the night alone. and i hate how it’s not just that extroverts don’t understand introverts…they think introverts are wrong about how they live life. that’s a big leap. i should be writing my own blog about this…ha…
I love it! I have always been an introvert (80%), and this article just revolutionized my life. I want to laminate it and tote it around with me so anytime someone asks “whats on your mind” or “whats wrong” or says “you’re awfully quiet” I can just whip out the article and silently hand it over to them.
thanks Annie – we “E” types need to read these articles!
Oh no! He makes the Extroverts (me) seem so selfish and dimwitted! I truly hope that is not me!
LOVE IT!
Very, very perceptive.

Hey, when it’s true, it’s true. :)
Thanks for your kind words, Annie.
As a mostly-introverted person (Like Duane, I’m just over the line) I appreciated that article.
I feel so understood!
Thanks for sharing the linkage Annie!
Thank you. thank you. thank you!

amen, sister!
Oddly, though I’m an INFJ to the core, I somehow relate to some of the more “extroverted” tendencies… especially HERE.
Go figure.
What a funny, funny article! That guy is a great writer– his writing was wry, witty, and sarcastic, but also totally informative.
Must be because of that superior introverted intellect. :)
loved it, right on the money although i can’t claim dynamic presentation skills.
This ISFJ loves this article. Thanks for sharing.
