Picking fur off of my shirt today
As I mentioned yesterday, I am house-sitting / dog-sitting this weekend. Sleeping in a king size bed is weird. I like my little double mattress. The king bed just feels so… huge, and excessive, and unnecessary, and lonely.
Oh! But it’s not lonely when you have two gigantic Labradors to share the space!
Gah. I will never understand people who let their dogs sleep on the bed (sorry, Becca, and all you other crazy dog people).
Don’t get me wrong – I love dogs. I LOVE them. But there is a reason that L.L. Bean is still in business, and I’m pretty sure that it has nothing to do with their multi-colored fleeces. Although the Christmas 2006 Parsons family might beg to differ:

and, I’ll say it AGAIN – everyone looks fabulous in the INDIVIDUALLY SELECTED COLORS! Especially Annie rockin’ the “raspberry”. Doesn’t everyone wish their mom was so cool to have that idea?
Awesome photo – Merry Fleecemas!
Also – I agree re: dogs in beds. Our dog sleeps in our room … in his crate five feet away, where he belongs.
Hmm. My cat sleeps on my bed, and sometimes I WISH she instead slept in a crate, five feet away.
Lovely family photo. I’m sure everyone appreciated the warm fleeceness of that Fleecemas, though.
You are hysterical Annie!! I totally agree. Don’t love dogs in beds. But I am a hypocrite– because I totally love taking a nap with a cat! :-)
Cute family pic! You are lovely, Carmen
We have that picture hanging on our fridge.
I completely agree with the dog in the bed scenario. In fact, I’m almost to the point (sorry Parsons and Claders) that I’m not sure I like dogs in the house at all. Unless they don’t shed at all.
Side note: I am currently listening to the CBC and they are talking about the Telluride Mushroom Festival. Did you even know there was such a thing?
Oh my goodness. The nephew in the orange — SO CUTE.
if any of you knew gabe, you would want him to sleep on your bed!
just like if any of you saw this christmas card picture of us, you would automatically want to be our friend!
about becca’s comment…
i’d say that if any of us saw this christmas card picture of you (which i did that year at christmastime), then we would automatically want to be a PARSONS.
except, i AM a little disappointed that the pups aren’t in the photo with some type of fleece doggie jackets. but i’ll overlook that.
Fleecepups on Fleecemas. Good marketing campaign…
rachel is my hero. we definitely need her in the family.
I’ll adopt Rachel any day!
I miss having a dog to sleep on the bed. :(
