Thoughts for a Thursday
Let me just get it out: I feel like a terrible blogger these days.
Okay, now I feel better.

Saturday is the 6th annual Tomato Art Fest in East Nashville. This is of note for 3 reasons:
1) Sound the trumpets: I am making my triumphant return to running, as I’ve registered for the 5K in the early morning. Nashville Miranda and I plan to run together and catch up about life – and if that means running 15-minute miles, so be it.
2) I’ll be singing backup for the beautiful, the talented, the VOICE – Wendy Jans, at 12:45pm on the main stage. It’s supposed to be 96 degrees out. So much for glamour, and/or happiness in general. But seriously – come hear this woman!
3) At 3pm, Seth will be entering the Red Head Contest. For those of you who have had the honor of beholding Seth’s gorgeous (and all natural) locks, you know that he is going to win that ribbon. He will hold the title of “Tomato Red” soon enough.
Also, I just love tomatoes. They’re so fat and wonderful.

I wish we said the same thing about humans, because I have some amazing birthday cheeses in my fridge.

“Amnesty” is just another word for “grace,” and I think that deep down, that’s why we are so moved over the story of Laura Ling and Euna Lee. It makes me cry to think about them being pardoned and allowed to return home – mostly because it reminds me of the undeserved kindness and generosity I have been shown in my own life.
Sometimes, I feel just like those girls.

GOOOOOOOO SETH!
Boy, do I like Seth’s hair.
I wish I could teleport, Annie. I just want, like, a couple hours with you. I just need a dose of Annie.
Are you going to wear your birthday party dress? Because a.) You look incredible in it, and b.) It seems a fitting color for a Tomato-fest.
Love you.
Also, I would like to add: if I could attend a “Red Head Contest”– not to compete, just to happily observe– I feel confident saying I would probably find my future husband.
That is all.
Well, if I can’t be in the red-head competition, then Seth needs to take the title! If one of your cheeses is fresh mozz, slice one of those fat tomatoes and drizzle with balsamic reduction….pure heaven. Wish I could hear you with Wendy. Even on your seeming “lame” blog days – you make mine. Now, if you would just return to facebook.
YOU will never be a lame blogger.
THE END.
There is a cheese that you absolutly need to try! I wanted to send you some, but there is only one store that I know of the whole state of Washington that carries it regularly, and it’s in Leavenworth.
The Cheese is called “Ardi Gasna”. It is Sheeps milk cheese that comes from a very small province in France, and it’s the best cheese I’ve ever had! I don’t know if anyone in Nashville sells it, but it’s worth looking for.
i think my “name” says it all…i promise i’ll return soon. since you’ve been out of the facebooking world, i’ll have to fill you in. Two words: BED BUGS. My life officially sucks worse than yours for the above reason, and additionally, because you are not lactose intolerant and can enjoy your birthday cheese.
