Bumming me out

blog

When I moved to Nashville two years ago, I switched to Bank of America because I never wanted to have to switch my bank account again – so naturally, I chose the bank of AMERICA.

It turns out that Bank of America is actually the bank of NOT DENVER.

Yellow traffic lights in Denver last roughly half as long as they do anywhere else.  When the light turns yellow, it means, “Arrest, or be arrested.”

Every 5 minutes or so, my toilet screeches like the Nazgûl.

The doctors installed the WRONG PORT in my MOTHER’S CHEST.  That’s probably the only time you’ll ever see the words “my mother’s chest” on this blog, so soak it up.  She showed up for her first round of chemo yesterday, and caused quite the ruckus when they discovered the WRONG PIECE OF HARDWARE SURGICALLY INSTALLED IN HER BODY.

Chemo went forward anyway, and she goes back again today.  The “Red Devil” is now pumping through her veins.  And righteous indignation is pumping through ours.

    1. Switching banks IS a huge pain. Yuck. But entirely necessary. YOU CAN DO IT.

    2. Hm, doesn’t it seem like the duration of a yellow traffic light should be standard across the good ol’ US of A?

    3. HAHAHAHA – that is hilarious. And a little sad that I immediately knew what that meant.

    4. UN.Believable. Wow, I don’t even really know what to say about this one. Ineptitude really, really chaps my hide. I don’t have much grace or flexibility for mistakes, unfortunately. But in this case, rightly so! Wow. Law suit? Serious tongue thrashing? Letter to the editor of the local paper? I mean, it’s your MOM. I would be so seething mad and not exhibiting Christ’s love for a time, I’m afraid. I’m so sorry. Praying for you all.

    Prayers are yours. So many.

The good news about switching banks is, despite it’s convience, Bank of America kinda sucks. So, rock on, Bank of Denver.

You are in a similar bank issue as I am. I hate Chase, but they are the only bank that is in both Seattle and Atlanta, which is where I hope to be heading this fall.

I wish medical proceedures had warranties so when someone screws up, they’d have to make it right.

    Prayin’ for you guys.

Oddly enough, before it was Chase, there WERE Washington Mutuals in Denver.

I wish I could give your mom a hug. She might think it was creepy, though, since she’s never seen me in her life.

P.S. And I thought Montrose Memorial Hospital was bad. Yeesh!

That was the most appropriate use of capital letters I have ever seen.
