This is CRAZY.
Yesterday, my favorite Handy Graham gave me a ring – not a diamond ring (I should be so lucky), just a phone call.
We shot the breeze for a few minutes, and then he asked, “How’s it going there? Are you doing okay?” It was earnest and sincere. My eyes stung for a few seconds, I blinked a few times to compose myself, and then told him.
For the rest of you, I bucked up and made a video.
Denverado from Annie Parsons on Vimeo.
It was -12 (that would be MINUS TWELVE DEGREES) when I woke up this morning.

What child IS this?
It’s version 1
praying for your mom. hoping that some awesome housewarming gifts miraculously land in your apt.
I love your videos!
I’m about to head out into single digit temps (without a pizza or wine) to snowshoe. Nice knowing I’m not the only one crazy enough to venture out in this stuff.
Still praying for you and your family. ~ Matt
Um. Hilarious. If I’ve told you once, I’ve told you 100 times. Keep your pants on.
I kind of wish I would have taken them off. But that would have been an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT kind of internet video.
You did not film the linen closet! Is that going to be a feature film unto itself?
if there’s one thing the parsons girls are known for, it’s keeping our pants on.
I love LOVE that you just ended with the pants thing. And, I don’t think she was lying about that street. It looks like it’s straight out of a Thomas Kincaide painting.
Love the video!!! I think the crunching of snow under your feet is a nice sound … Take Care !
Annie, your video made me literally LOL. For realz. But seriously, when do you get some furniture in that posh little apartment of yours? Or at least a blanket? Because brrrrrrr.
You make me giggle! And you make me want to drive out to Denver and take you shopping for furniture. BLOW UP PLASTIC furniture!
Ahahahaha! I was finally able to watch this– wasn’t able to earlier because my school computer doesn’t have speakers, and every time I plug in earphones, it crashes. (???) This was so funny, AP. :) And your apartment is DARLING!! It’s so cute!!! And it’s JUST the right size!
In the last clip, I could tell you were trying to keep from laughing long enough to get out a very melodramatic point, and it made me miss you because: I know Annie this well, see? I know her facial expressions.
(The internet world rolled its eyes and said collectively, “Duh, we could see that too.”)
But in any case, it made me remember how well we know each other and how dear a friend you are to me and HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU, FRICK.
Also, I feel reminded of Michael Scott in the wilderness.
Aaah. You have the most fascinating videos I have ever seen. And that doesn’t even make sense. It’s like I cannot look away. Your videos are just mesmerizing.
Ok, seriously… the last place I lived in Minnesota looked just like that — but just because all of my furniture was en route to Colorado!
Your furniture is en route to Colorado too, right? If not let me know. I’ll loan you a chair until my sister can come buy you an inflatable one! :)
“A guitar. And two pieces of paper.” Hilarious…
Can’t wait to see the place all dolled up, Annie-style.
Annie- it’s good to still be able to keep up with you, even if it’s through the internet. I love your blog and your videos, but still wish you could be here. Glad you made it safely and like your new apartment. I am praying for you and your family. Please come back soon! :)
you really do have The Best videos :) so happy the pod made it! your place is gonna look fantastic.
So… you’re all … “You know… those people… they take off their pants. And… I kinda want to do that right now.” Talk about cliff hanger! (And all these commenters were SO thinking that too…right?… RIGHT?)
Too funny. Annie Parsons in a Lodge Parka. But wait! I want to see you with that furry hood up making you look like Nannook-of-the-North. (Those weren’t disparaging words about Sparky the Honda, were they?!) :-)
You are a good story teller. Your videos never fail to make me laugh. Glad you had your lodge parka in addition to the guitar and 2 pieces of paper.
Thanks for making me smile – big!
