Come hell or high water or high-waisted jeans
Anyone who knows me can tell you that I’m not exactly on the cutting edge of fashion. Don’t get me wrong – I’m not BEHIND the times. I’m not wearing shoulder pads or anything. I know how to dress myself and my slightly complicated figure. I splurge on good denim, accentuate the positives, and know…
Row boat
I’m back in Nashville this week, working in the office and seeing friends. Every time I come back to Nashville, I’m struck by two things: how much this place still feels like home – and how things can’t ever be the way that they were before. The longing for “the way things were” is my…
(Bosom) Friend Fridays: Charlie Hardin Murphey
I have this list of “favorite” friends – not necessarily “closest” friends, but the ones who, without fail, make my world happier whenever I see them. Charlie Murphey is one of those friends. I mean, look at him. A V-neck cardigan with nothing underneath. If you know Charlie, you know OF COURSE HE WOULD. I…

Sweet baby Z
Sweet baby Zion is hanging on and hanging in there. His condition has shifted so many times and so quickly, it’s hard to know what to say – and I don’t want to say one thing, only to have it change in the next minute. So watch Jeremy and Ashley’s blog for more “official” news….
Change of plans
I’m on vacation this week, but my plans – however tentative – have been scrapped. Baby Zion arrived in Colorado Springs with his family (my brother and sister-in-law and two older nephews) on Saturday, and within an hour, was rushed to the ER because he wasn’t breathing. He almost died that night. Now he is…
(Bosom) Friend Fridays: Greta Weisman
If you’ve read this blog for any amount of time, you know about Greta. I mean, she has her own tag and everything. Greta is the most delightful little pixie of a friend – she loves bubbles and snowflakes and fairy tales and red lipstick and goat cheese and sand dollars and road trips and…
