Live together, die alone

blog

There is a humongous benefit to living in the Central Time Zone. People in Seattle have more than 3 hours to go. For me, “Lost” is starting in 20 minutes.

I AM FREAKING OUT.

In fact, I haven’t been able to blog today because I just haven’t known what to say. I have no words to give shape and voice to the excitement I am feeling right now. Good gracious, have I ever been so obsessed with a television show? I guess that I was pretty dedicated to “Full House” back in elementary school, but this is a whole new animal.

I’ll see you on the flip side, when we all know a little bit more and a little bit less.

Well, was it everything you hoped for and MORE? :)

I miss Libby. And I miss Eko even more.

Nikolas, I don’t know you, but Libby? Eko? Other than Anna Lucia, possibly the most irritating characters on the show. No, wait, there was that father and son, they were tough.

Ok, I’m sort of joking. Just wanted to have that whole LOST gangsta chatter going.

Annie, I think you should watch LOST with us sometime this season. Because we’re fanatical about it.

Woot woot. See you in a few hours, “hopefully” with earbuds. Help me remember.

I’ll agree with you whole-heartedly about Anna Lucia. I was sad when she was shot only because I had been hoping for weeks that she’d be punched in the face. I never got the pleasure of seeing that.

And Michael too: if I ever hear “They took my boy!” again… «breathing exercises, counting to ten».

But Hurley and Libby… was there a bigger soft spot? They sucker-punched me with that and I was OK with it. And then they stabbed me. With a broken rusty shovel. In my eye.

And Eko hit people with a big stick. Awesome character right there. He was large and sonorous.

(Sorry, Annie, for ranting, but I had to defend Hurley’s love. I hope your ears don’t catch on fire.)

TOP 3 reasons that was a great episode of LOST:

I friggin’ love the ‘flash forward’ instead of the ‘flashback’ – it is genius.

Charlie showed up. Even though he IS dead, he is great to have around. I might try to hallucinate him.

“I’m one of the Oceanic six…”
Who could they be and how are they chosen?
    -Hurley, Jack, Kate, Claire …

All in all, I am very happy today.
I hope you have a good weekend ;)

Let’s not forget Shannon… she NEEDED to die.

Finally getting a chance to respond!

I loved Libby, but not on her own. Only when you weave the Hurley story into hers. And from what I can understand, a lot of guys love Eko – I was always kind of ambivalent toward him and his huge biceps. I hated Anna-Lucia – she was wicked and angry.

And Daniel, yes, Shannon needed the ax (or the bullet, as it so happened). What a baby.

Nick, you crack me up. A broken rusty shovel in your eye. Amazing.

Allie, I SO want to watch with you guys. Desperately. It’s on. And Michael is probably my least favorite person on the show. Unless he makes a comeback (you KNOW he’ll be back at some point) to redeem himself, then I will continue to feel his betrayal.

Luke, I will respond on your blog, because I liked some of what you wrote, and RAGINGLY DISAGREED with other parts. :)

Tyler, you’re right: the flash-forward is a genius move. It completely throws EVERYTHING that you thought you knew. I think the show would have dried up if it hadn’t been for the brilliance of some writer… “Let’s have a flash-FORWARD.” But I’m kind of over Charlie.

Daniel, I said it before, but let me echo: WORD.
